ATLANTIC Grand Hotel Bremen

New Year’s Eve is a question of type. Some want it loud, some want it quiet, while others want nothing at all. But when the last day of the year comes, everyone does want to celebrate all the same. So that there is something for each New Year’s Eve type, the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel is hold- ing three different parties this year. Each one a sensation and each one so exclusive that they are unparalleled in Bremen. Find out here which party best suits you. But be warned: make your reservation in good time. The tickets are in high demand! 1. The Sociable Type This New Year’s Eve’s type wants lots of experiences. He or she dances the night away, spreads good humour and loves to make new acquaintances. Strictly speaking, he needs several parties in one evening to really get going. When he meets kindred spirits, he is happy to settle down for a more in-depth chat –then it’s straight back to conquer the dance floor once again. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Our tip: THE GRAND FINAL in the Golden Halls of Böttcherstraße. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This New Year’s Eve party is a quasi-continuation of “THE GRAND TERRACE” – the relaxed, easy-going parties that have become an insider tip up on the rooftop terrace of the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel in summer. Only the location and the dress code are naturally a little more exclusive for New Year’s Eve. The atmosphere of the Golden Halls is historic, and many of the celebrations, which have taken place here in the past nearly one hundred years, are too. The last two “GRAND FINALS” can be counted among them. For a third time since the Golden Halls have belonged to the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel, the corks are going to be pulled and confetti cannons fired there. The great success is not least thanks to the Bremen DJ Sebastian LPC. The star of the “Houserocker” series of electro events has developed his “GRAND TERRACE” concept further, exclusively for “THE GRAND FINAL”. Two other well-known DJs will be there to help him put it on: DJ Choco and Jan Helmerding from the Déjà Vu Clubclassics. “Choco and Jan make the Golden Halls rock with a mix of dance classics and current chart hits. Last year, Choco even danced along at some point,” says DJ Sebastian LPC. “It’s my job to provide a lounge atmosphere in the Scotland Hall – with deep house and chill-out contemporary electronic sounds.” The reason why sociable New Year’s Eve fans should get a ticket for THE GRAND FINAL? “It’s several parties in one,” says Sebastian, “with a super location, super sound, super lightshow and super atmosphere.” Admission: EUR 35 per person (incl. 1 glass of champagne). Doors open: 21:00. Advance ticket sales at all CTS Eventim and BTZ booking offices as well as at the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel and Café Noir. 2. The Glamourous Type Do the same thing twice in a row? Out of the question. New Year’s Eve should be something exclusive. After all, it will only be 2015 once. If the glamourous New Year’s Eve type is not already celebrating in New York or Bangkok, he is looking for a party which is at least worthy of a film. With glitter, gloss and glamour. With just a touch of the spectacular perhaps, but don’t even think about doing the same as last year. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Our tip: Let’s swing the roof top – to the theme of “THE GREAT GATSBY” :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Right on the top in the glass roof lounge, the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel is celebrating the “Roaring Twenties”: as fictitious, glittery and perfectly stylish as F. Scott Fitzgerald in his social novel “The Great Gatsby”. The atmosphere is inspired by fash- ion, jazz and an exclusive dinner menu with six courses – everything seasoned with a breath-taking view over Bremen and a little bit of New York decadence. All the guests are invited to dress in the style of that time, with the Gatsby films starring Robert Redford and Leonardo DiCaprio perhaps serving to inspire. A prize will go the best outfit chosen by the guests. The live soundtrack to “THE GREAT GATSBY” will be provided by the Bremer Metropol Ensemble with world-famous jazz classics. From midnight, DJane Fräulein Glamour will invite you to dance – with soul and disco classics that take the vibe into the New Year. Why should “THE GREAT GATSBY” not be missed? “Quite simply,” explains Fräulein Glamour alias Sandra Prawitt, “in the roof lounge you will have the world at your feet for one whole night long.” Admission: EUR 199 per person (incl. sophisticated 6-course menu, “Perrier Jouët” champagne and further delicious drinks). Doors open: 19:00. On page 9 you can read more about the menu. Advance ticket sales at the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel. 3. The Cosy Type The world out there is cold enough. This New Year’s Eve type looks to celebrate in a snug, more familiar atmosphere and good friends. And glad to have it somewhere in the country, where the world is still in order. Where the meals are hearty and the people welcoming. And where you don’t hold an elegant party for New Year’s Eve, but have a real bash. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Our tip: New Year’s Eve in the Alps :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Yes, you’ve read it correctly, even in the middle of a large city, just eleven metres above sea level you can enjoy a sense of the Alps. For this, an original Bavarian mountain hut was dismantled and then reconstructed in the Hofgarten courtyard of the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel. The atmosphere of the interior is so quaint and comfortable, you could imagine Heidi and Peter were throwing their own New Year’s party in the Alps. Instead, it is DJ Frank Hinz who makes the hut rock – with popular German folk music and après-ski hits to dance along to, sing along to and party along to. The equally hearty and exclusive 4-course menu will give you the strength to make it on through – with starter platters of meats and cheeses, soup, cheese fondue and apple strudel for example. If you like, you can come in loden, lederhosen or your dirndl and take part in the party. The guests will choose the best traditional outfit of the evening. Why is New Year’s Eve such great fun up in the Alps? “The year is still young and the next Oktoberfest a long way off,” answers DJ Frank. “Our Almhütte is like being on holiday.” Admission: EUR 99 per person (incl. a hearty Alpine menu and 1 glass of “Perrier Jouët” champagne). Doors open: 19:00. On page 9 you can read more about the menu. Advance ticket sales at the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel.
