Der Lärm des Alltags weicht einer Stille, die jeden Ton hörbar macht. Das ATLANTIC Grand Hotel nutzt die Gelegenheit – für eine Kammermusik-Reihe im Goldenen Saal. Die „Kammermusik am Sonntagmorgen“ hat in Bremen eine lange Tradition. Die Reihe wurde vor 35 Jahren gegründet, um den Bremer Philharmonikern die Möglichkeit zu ge- ben, auch in kleineren Formationen ihr großes Können zu zeigen. Ab dem 4. September sind ihre exquisiten Matinees fester Bestandteil des Kulturprogramms „Kunst zu Gast“ im ATLANTIC Grand Hotel. Immer wieder Sonntags ab 11.30 Uhr spielen die Musiker einmal im Monat in unter- schiedlichsten Formationen – vom Streich-Duo bis zum Streich-Oktett, von der Schlagzeug-Gruppe bis zu Streichern mit Bläsern. Oftmals sind Gastmusiker dabei, z. B. Pianisten, die es bei den Philharmonikern nicht gibt. Das Publikum im Goldenen Saal genießt die fast schon private Atmo- sphäre – zum Beispiel nach dem Frühstück oder vor dem Lunch im Restaurant alto. Die Idee, die Kammerkonzerte von der Plantage 13 ins ATLANTIC Grand Hotel zu verlegen, lag nahe: „Uns freut vor allem, dass wir mitten in der City ein größeres Publikum erreichen“, sagt Geiger Florian Baumann, Vorsitzender des Bremer Philharmoniker e. V. und Initiator des Umzugs. „Dar- über hinaus bietet der Goldene Saal eine ganz fantastische Akustik. Eigens dafür haben unsere Musiker einen Stein- way finanziert. Der Goldene Saal ist sein festes Zuhause.“ Zur Premiere gibt es denn auch gleich Klavier-Quartette von Mahler und Brahms – mit Violine, Viola, Violoncello und dem neuen Konzertflügel. \\\ Weitere Konzerte folgen am 23.10., 27.11.,18.12.2016 sowie am 29.1.2017. The hustle and bustle of weekday life makes way for a silence that allows you to hear every note. The ATLANTIC Grand Hotel is taking advantage of this atmosphere to pre- sent a chamber music concert series in the Golden Hall. “Chamber Music on Sunday Morning” is a long-standing tradition in Bremen. The concert series began 35 years ago to give the Bremen Philharmonic musicians the oppor- tunity to demonstrate their outstanding skills in smaller groups. Starting on 4th September, their unforgettable matinees will be featured as part of the “Art as a Guest” cultural program in the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel. At 11.30 a.m. on one Sunday each month, the musicians will play in different formations, from string duo to string octet, from percussion group to strings together with wind instru- ments; often, they are joined by guest musicians, such as pianists, who do not play with the orchestra itself. The audience in the Golden Hall will get to enjoy an almost private concert, perhaps after breakfast or before lunch in the alto restaurant. The decision to relocate the chamber concerts from the Plantage 13, Bremen, to the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel was an obvious one, according to violinist Florian Baumann, executive director of Bremer Philharmoniker e.V. and the initiator of the move. “We are particularly happy to be able to reach a large audience in the middle of the city,” he explained. “The Golden Hall offers outstanding acoustics and our musicians have purchased a Steinway especially for the concerts. The Golden Hall is now its permanent home.” The first concert to kick off the series features piano quartets by Mahler and Brahms – with violin, viola, violoncello and the new concert grand piano. \\\ Later concerts will follow on 23rd October, 27th November, 18th December 2016 and on 29th January 2017.
