The ATLANTIC Grand Hotel Travemünde is situated directly by the Baltic Sea on one of the region's widest and most beautiful beaches – more than four kilometres of fine sand with plenty of opportunity for walks, sport and relaxation. Travemünde's attractive, well preserved old town around the St Lorenz church is also only a stone's throw away.
The port of Travemünde – the gateway to the Baltic Sea – and where new and old can be seen alongside one another is also only a short walk away, along the seafront, from the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel Travemünde. Here you can see fishing boats, wind jammers as well as ferries side by side. The port has eight quays which makes it one of the biggest ferry ports in North Europe – watching the big ferries sail in and out of the port is sure to awaken your wanderlust! Many ferries travelling to the Scandinavian, Baltic and other Baltic Sea neighbouring countries start their journey here. The Restaurant Holstein's with its magnificent panoramic view of the sea makes the entering and exiting of the ships a very special experience – you're sure to be impressed!
